Membership Terms
By requesting a membership of our vibrant community of artists through our website “dafaus.org” which is also part or Diverse Advocacy Foundation for the Arts (DAFA), or any of our state branded sites (RI, MA, CT, NY, etc.); you commit to upholding our code of conduct, fostering respect, inclusivity, and professionalism in all interactions. Members have the opportunity to submit their artworks, with the understanding that submitted pieces may be displayed, promoted, or sold on our website. Engaging in the sale of artworks requires adherence to ethical selling practices to ensure fairness and transparency.
Responsible usage of communication channels is encouraged, fostering a supportive and respectful environment. Intellectual property rights are respected, allowing artists to retain ownership while granting us the right to display and promote their creations. We prioritize your privacy and data security, handling personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Membership dues sustain our community and provide exclusive access to events and collaborations, this means that artworks sold through our website or at our events are subject to a 20% withhold to support our effort. We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance. By embarking on this artistic journey with us, you contribute to a dynamic and inclusive space that celebrates and preserves the essence of the fine arts.
This Membership Contract ("The Contract") is entered into on [Date Approved] between Diverse Advocacy Foundation for the Arts, hereinafter referred to as "DAFA" and [Artist's Full Name], hereinafter referred to as "the Member."
1. Membership Details:

2. Membership Benefits:

a. The Member agrees to pay the annual membership dues as outlined by the organization.
b. Membership dues are non-refundable.
4. Code of Conduct:
a. The Member agrees to abide by the organization's Code of Conduct, promoting a positive, respectful, and inclusive community.
5. Artwork Submission:
a. The Member agrees to submit artworks in accordance with the organization's submission guidelines.
b. By submitting artworks, the Member grants the organization a non-exclusive license to display, promote, and, if applicable, sell the artworks on the organization's platform.
6. Ethical Selling Practices:
a. If engaging in the sale of artworks through the platform, the Member agrees to adhere to ethical selling practices as outlined by the organization.
7. Membership Termination:
a. The Organization reserves the right to terminate the Member's membership for violations of the Code of Conduct or any other policies outlined by the organization.
8. Confidentiality:
a. The Member agrees to maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive information shared within the organization.
9. Governing Law:
a. This Contract is governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], and any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with these laws.
